The Beach Read Collection
After a little more than two years, I am back with a new collection! Introducing the Beach Read Collection, hair scrunchies with bold summer retro patterns perfect for keeping your hair up while you dive into that vacation read. And guess what, they are all handmade by ME! Last year I decided I wanted to make my own product so I bought a sewing machine, hired a sewing tutor, and have slowly been teaching myself how to sew.
Each scrunchie is named after one of the beach reads below, but I will be completely transparent with you, I haven’t read all of them. A part of me was feeling guilty for naming the products after books I haven’t read, but then I realized I needed to cut myself some slack. I am not Superwoman. People can’t expect me to work full time, handmake scrunchies on the side, update website copy, plan product photoshoots, have a social life, AND read a handful of new novels before each product launch. I need to stop setting too high of expectations for myself.
Scrunchies are just the beginning. I plan on making a variety of products such as cushion covers, sleep eyemasks, and of course, lingerie in due course. I will continue to pull inspiration for each product launch from literary genres and themes, and name the products after novels I love or want to read. For this collection, these books have piqued my interest and I hope some of them are an interest to you too.
